I’m running for Union City Council because this community has been my home since 1992, and I want residents to feel heard and see results. My service on the Human Relations Commission, the Chamber of Commerce, the New Haven Schools Foundation, and the board of Tiburcio Vasquez Health Center has shown me how much we can accomplish when we listen and work together. I’ll bring that approach to City Hall: practical decisions, responsible use of public funds, and steady attention to the needs of every neighborhood.
When I look at our budget, my focus is straightforward: we need to responsibly increase our revenue so we can fully fund the essential services that keep our community strong. I believe that a healthy, thriving area relies on having dependable public services in place. By finding smart, practical ways to boost our resources, we can ensure that the vital services we all depend on every single day are protected, strengthened, and ready when we need them. This is about common sense and ensuring our neighborhood has the support it needs to succeed. I am committed to working hard to secure these funds and investing them right back into the essential services that serve us all.

That is why I am committed to ensuring we have adequate fire and public safety resources directly in our local areas. Every neighborhood deserves to feel secure, and by focusing on securing the right public safety resources for our communities, we can actively work to reduce crime and build a safer environment for everyone. This is about looking out for one another and making sure our neighborhoods have the essential support they need. If elected, I am ready to stand up for our community and make public safety a real priority.
